New Cd, “out With The Old” Out This Fall:)
August 3, 2010

SO excited for this big news!!:)
I have been itching to put out another disc and with the new material I have been working on, thought it would be good to also revisit some of my older tunes. SO I am selling my older CD’s for just $5 (plus tax and shipping) each!
I will sign them and if I still have them in stock, it is yours:).
I have also been taking piano lessons using my older songs as tools to learn the piano. By the middle of the Fall, I will have enough songs to put on a full length disc! I decided to release this before the holidays and it will feature just myself playing the piano and singing. I am super pumped to do this and I am calling it, “OUT WITH THE OLD”. It will be songs picked by myself (and you! Email me your requests at erichiman@gmail.com) and the cover of the disc is above (that is also my doggie, Duncan,ha). The pic was taken by photographer, Kelly Kerr, design help by Angel Adams, and thanks to Brad G. for selling me this piano cheap,ha.
I am also bringing back my Free Cover Mondays promotion where I give away a song every Monday on my free Mp3 page. You can get them if you just sign up on the front page of the site for the newsletter! There might even be some left on their from previous Free Cover Mondays of other months.:).
Okay, time to go get my new water heater (broke this Sunday) and now I realize just what a amazing thing hot water is.
Have a great week and thanks for following me on my blog:)

Last year, I walked away with Best Male Vocalist and Artist of the Year at the Absolute Best of Tulsa Awards! THIS YEAR, not only am I up for the same two awards, but ERIC AND THE ADAMS is up for BAND OF THE YEAR and BEST POP/ROCK BAND! We are so excited and would really appreciate if you took 3 minutes to head over to:
http://www.flyfi.com/contest/tulsa09/tulsa09/vote/
and vote for us in those four categories. It is easy and really only takes a minute or two. Thank you for helping us with this:)
We just performed at Tulsa Pride this year and WHAT AN AMAZING time it was! We built sets, made shirts,..well, you can see this all for yourself and how we did it in this wrap-up video below:
Our Lady Gaga show is coming up in Tulsa and I swear, I have never learned so much of one’s material since the days I was learning to play every song of Ani DiFranco’s I could get my hands on and perform. This show is going to be even more work that our Tulsa Pride show so I am expecting a sold-out show for this night at Majestic on July 2nd! Many surprises (how can there not be? its GAGA!)! Here is the poster for the night:

And finally, A BIG! BIG! BIG! congrats to my traveling buddy, Levi Kreis, for winning his first Tony Award last night on CBS’s presentation of The Tony Awards last night! He rocked it playing piano with Sean Hayes and the rest of his Broadway nominated musical, Million Dollar Quartet!! Here is a pic of us two weeks ago after his show. Brought my family and they all fell in love with him (notice his Eric and the Adams shirt:)!
That’s all for now and will be back with another update sooN!

I’m Back In The Touring Season!
March 12, 2010
Sitting here on the computer watching the Reitman Bros. movie, “Up In The Air” and noticing parts that are/were similiar to mine. As I add a ton of new dates all over the country (check out my tour schedule!), I think about how many places I have been in the US. I can tell people where to find the best Cheesesteak in Philly (GENO’s!!), best sweet potato fries (tie between McNellie’s here in Tulsa and Rosie’s in Wilton Manors, FL-theirs are waffle fries too) and some of the best bed and breakfast places I’ve stayed in (San Francisco!). I’ve driven three cars past 100,000 (one of which to 200,000 miles) and probably changed over 20 tires in that time. For a while, all I ever wanted was to be in one place. To live the life of friends of mine who grew up knowing everyone where life was familiar and cozy. My life has been flying around, driving around, never staying in one place for too long. Then I met someone worth sticking in one place and bought a house. Watching this movie, reminds me how things have changed. I haven’t stopped singing/playing from the west (will be in Riverside, CA March 27th) to the east (will be at the Outerbanks in NC August 21st), but it is nice to know that I have a place that I can return to and finally unpack.

Tulsa Pride 08 Video!
June 10, 2008
This past weekend was Tulsa Pride and it was insane. It was actually the Block Party put on by the Oklahomans For Equality the weekend before the actual festival. I decided to book the show with my band in town (Ted Scott on electric guitar, Jimmy Adams on bass, and Angel Adams on drums). Though the sound was a bit wacky, you would have never known from the crowd reaction as you can see in the video; people all the way up to the stage. We played mostly my originals and threw in a few covers (not on camera sadly). All in all, it was quite fun so thanks to all those who put on the party!
In other news, I have been getting a few inquiries about my music video for “Little Boy Blue” since it has been up on LOGO and on my myspace page. I wrote the song about a transgendered boy I met on the road when I was touring LGBT centers that housed minors who have been kicked out of their houses for being LGBT. The video is a take on the story that is closely related to the subject of the song but not direct. The director and I came up with the treatment for it and I am proud of the final product. The video is not autobiographical. It is meant to show how I connected with the subject of the song. The events that take place did not happen to me. I am not trying to shy away from the video by saying this, just trying to be accurate. I was not thrown out of my house when I was young or beaten up for not taking drugs. I hope that the video sheds light on some of the things I wanted to express in it and overall it has been getting great reviews.
OK, whew…heavy subject there, on to the next bit of my business….I hired a personal trainer today! Yes, it is true. I am beginning to feel like when I step into the gym, I haven’t the slightest idea of what I am doing. Ever since I took over the ship of my business, I leave little time when it comes to taking care of myself. When Cas was in town, I was telling her that I felt like I wasn’t taking the time to eat better or work out more since I started the booking, publicity, distribution, etc. SO! Today, I found a great trainer to help me get back to my old self and kick my butt into shape. I honestly didn’t think I was that bad, until I was told today to write down everything I ate. Everything I’ve written down today is good for me and I have been doing well, it is just everything I WANT to eat now that I have to look at it staring me back from my food diary. You don’t know how many times I walked by the jellybeans that Ry bought today and left sitting on the counter. Painful.
Ok, off to go eat some more healthy things and drink enough water to fill me up that I don’t want jellybeans.
