New Cd, “out With The Old” Out This Fall:)
August 3, 2010

SO excited for this big news!!:)
I have been itching to put out another disc and with the new material I have been working on, thought it would be good to also revisit some of my older tunes. SO I am selling my older CD’s for just $5 (plus tax and shipping) each!
I will sign them and if I still have them in stock, it is yours:).
I have also been taking piano lessons using my older songs as tools to learn the piano. By the middle of the Fall, I will have enough songs to put on a full length disc! I decided to release this before the holidays and it will feature just myself playing the piano and singing. I am super pumped to do this and I am calling it, “OUT WITH THE OLD”. It will be songs picked by myself (and you! Email me your requests at erichiman@gmail.com) and the cover of the disc is above (that is also my doggie, Duncan,ha). The pic was taken by photographer, Kelly Kerr, design help by Angel Adams, and thanks to Brad G. for selling me this piano cheap,ha.
I am also bringing back my Free Cover Mondays promotion where I give away a song every Monday on my free Mp3 page. You can get them if you just sign up on the front page of the site for the newsletter! There might even be some left on their from previous Free Cover Mondays of other months.:).
Okay, time to go get my new water heater (broke this Sunday) and now I realize just what a amazing thing hot water is.
Have a great week and thanks for following me on my blog:)

Upcoming Mess Of Shows:) Check It Out!
May 17, 2010
Hey there, Eric here again:) Just wanted to tell you that I am excited for these upcoming shows:
We will be headlining Tulsa Pride this year and I will be building a set for this show (!!) with Jimmy, and some friends of ours today. Have some big stuff in store for the night. Here is the poster:)
The band will be performing this coming month for Pride events in: Albuquerque (June 10th at the SOCH!), Oklahoma City (June 25th-Pride Block Party at The Boom!), and St. Louis Pride (June 27th). I will be appearing solo acoustic at Las Cruces for an event (with my good friend and talented songwriter, Namoli Brennet!) on June 18th and again with her at Tucson Pride’s H20 event on the 19th. I will also be performing at Emerald Coast Pride in Panama City Beach on June 26th! If you are around these next two weeks, I will also be headed through Louisville, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New York City solo acoustic (check the tour page. Also joined by Andy Moore on a few dates!!!).
July 2nd will also be a big day for this little band of ours because it is our first show where we perform an entire set of another musician’s songs. This show is titled: Eric and the Adams goes GAGA! We will perform the hits of GAGA with some big stage and musical surprises. DEFINITELY not the show to miss. One Night Only. Check out the poster we made for it:

See you soon and have a great summer!:)

I’m Back In The Touring Season!
March 12, 2010
Sitting here on the computer watching the Reitman Bros. movie, “Up In The Air” and noticing parts that are/were similiar to mine. As I add a ton of new dates all over the country (check out my tour schedule!), I think about how many places I have been in the US. I can tell people where to find the best Cheesesteak in Philly (GENO’s!!), best sweet potato fries (tie between McNellie’s here in Tulsa and Rosie’s in Wilton Manors, FL-theirs are waffle fries too) and some of the best bed and breakfast places I’ve stayed in (San Francisco!). I’ve driven three cars past 100,000 (one of which to 200,000 miles) and probably changed over 20 tires in that time. For a while, all I ever wanted was to be in one place. To live the life of friends of mine who grew up knowing everyone where life was familiar and cozy. My life has been flying around, driving around, never staying in one place for too long. Then I met someone worth sticking in one place and bought a house. Watching this movie, reminds me how things have changed. I haven’t stopped singing/playing from the west (will be in Riverside, CA March 27th) to the east (will be at the Outerbanks in NC August 21st), but it is nice to know that I have a place that I can return to and finally unpack.

A Florida Feast!
February 20, 2010
Here I am in sunny Florida, my third day here and having a great time with my cousins! Tagged along to a dinner party and made some rosemary garlic chicken kreplach (Jewish perogies or raviolis) and an apple tart! SOO good!
Now i am trying to keep my eyes open. The show in Orlando on Wed. rejuvenated my passion in the acoustic guitar and for that, thank you to everyone who came out!! We had a lot of fun, didn’t we?
Hope to repeat the experience this Saturday in Ft. Lauderdale at Bill’s (2209 Wilton Drive)! Show is at 10pm and I can’t wait.
Wish I had something clever to say but I am too tired sooooooo g’night!!:)

Eric (himan) And The Adams Rock Dallas And Okc!
January 19, 2010
Here I am sitting in my bed with “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure” in the background. On the way home from our gigs this weekend (one in Dallas at Sue Ellen’s Friday night and the other Saturday night in Oklahoma City) we found ourselves driving the hour and a half home from OKC back to Tulsa. Mind you, it was around 2am when we pulled out of the Belle Isle Brewery parking lot and we were all delirious from lack of sleep the night before. It was super foggy and the image from Pee-Wee’s hit movie of the “Large Marge” scene came to mind. I quoted it and then we all periodically quoted the movie ending with Jimmy in the back singing quietly and then getting louder, “la, la, la, la…La, La, La, La….LA LA LA LA!!”. We all cracked up and was a great finale to our weekend drive back to the motherstation of Tulsa.
FRIDAY NIGHT, 10pm

Dallas photos by Justin Brett Vander
We got out of Tulsa as fast as possible. We were off to a late start and though it did seem like there were roadblocks everywhere to get out of town (literally), we made it onto the open road as nightfall hit. We were all excited to get out of town for a bit and snacking on the way there. We hit rain as we entered the Dallas area and finally made it to Sue Ellen’s close to the time we were supposed to play. We jumped out of the car fast, loaded into the venue, and soundchecked with just enough time to fix our hair, change into something more appropriate, and find the setlist.

It was a strong crowd and once we got started, the requests poured in. We rocked through our original requests (”Sugar You Ain’t So Sweet”) and some songs we never tried as a band that was fun (”Talking About A Revolution”, Tracy Chapman). We had some friends hang out with us and ended the night packing up the car with a quick WhataBurger meal (fancy, I know,ha). We settled in the Days Inn hotel booked early that day and got about a few hours of sleep. We were all too wired to just sleep so we gabbed for a bit more. I think I offered to take us all to see “Precious” while I was half asleep, or so Angel said,ha.
SATURDAY, 12PM
We woke up, showered, and headed off for lunch at Little Gus’s (I had the best bagel sandwich) in Plano. We got a bit lost on the way out of town (two of our phones have GPS, you’d think that wouldn’t happen) but all the re-routing messed us up a bit, I think. We hit some more rain on the way up to OKC but arrived early to the venue we were playing that night, Belle Isle Brewery. I really liked the place right when we walked in. The deal was sealed when I saw sweet potato fries (my FAVorite!) on the menu. We loaded in our stuff and then the bar was awesome and fed us. I sat at the bar with Angel and Jimmy and played one of those game machines you see at bars. There was this game Cas and I used to play in State College at Chumley’s called Funky Monkey. Anyone ever play that?

OKC photos by Michael Shoopman
The sound guy, Fritz showed up, we soundchecked, and as we were doing that, everyone started filing in! A big thanks to The Oklahoman, OKGazette, and especially, EMILY H. for helping bring the people to the show! We had a great active crowd and was so excited to see some of the people who used to come out to the solo shows at Galileo’s (sad that place closed in Paseo. We played till 1am selling Cds AND shirts (yeah!), packed up our gear and headed home.

A fun trip all in all and can’t wait for our next gig over at Cain’s Ballroom’s 2nd Stage Friday, February 5th at 8pm with special guests, Dante and the Hawks and Motive For Movement here in Tulsa!

“eric (himan) And The Adams Rock New Year’s To 7,000!” Video:)
January 5, 2010
WHAT an amazing way to bring in the New Year! The band played a show out in the cold on a nice big stage on 37th St. in Tulsa. At first, I was freezing and even had to go get some long underwear and extra socks to keep warm, but once the crowd started coming out when we started, I forgot about the cold altogether. Check out the video! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
I am heading to bed and will be adding some shows tomorrow!:) A few band shows and some touring solo-acoustic in February.
G’night!

Live Version Of “sugar..” And A Big Thank You From Me:)
December 13, 2009
Hey all!:)
Here is a video of my band, Eric and the Adams, ’s opening song (”Sugar, You Ain’t So Sweet”) from our sold out cd release party last weekend! So much fun and the small amount of CD’s we have left (get it at www.ericandtheadams.com or iTunes today!) is proof of that.
I have to give a huge shout out to all the folks who have followed my career through solo acoustic work, then a little band backup, then more,..and now this new disc by Eric and the Adams. I understand that it’s more amped up (which I love!) but “Frozen In the Sun”, “Every Move”, “Keeper of the Secret”, and “Sugar, You Ain’t So Sweet” (Jimmy also wrote the music with me for this one:), are all songs that I wrote just like I have in the past with my stuff. When I decided to switch to electric guitar, and the band decided we wanted to take our sound to the next level by putting out this 5 song disc, I knew that there would be some folks that would respond, “I like your solo acoustic music instead”, but I have to say, the response has been more like, “I LOVE this new amped up side of your music style”. SO a big thank you for following me through this new musical adventure and no worries for those who do like the acoustic stuff: I will still be giving out my versions of some of my favorite songs in that style like I have before. Don’t be surprised if my Adams guest appear on one:).
Happy Holidays (and Happy Hanukkah)!
