A Florida Feast!

February 20, 2010

Here I am in sunny Florida, my third day here and having a great time with my cousins! Tagged along to a dinner party and made some rosemary garlic chicken kreplach (Jewish perogies or raviolis) and an apple tart! SOO good!
Now i am trying to keep my eyes open. The show in Orlando on Wed. rejuvenated my passion in the acoustic guitar and for that, thank you to everyone who came out!! We had a lot of fun, didn’t we?
Hope to repeat the experience this Saturday in Ft. Lauderdale at Bill’s (2209 Wilton Drive)! Show is at 10pm and I can’t wait.

Wish I had something clever to say but I am too tired sooooooo g’night!!:)

Just Sitting Here, Thinking….

February 10, 2010

Here I am sitting in a Starbucks down the street from my house trying to get some work down and listening to one of my favorite artists, Fisher. She had this amazing CD with some great songs on it (True North) Beautiful voice that you don’t hear often. Kind of like Sade WHO has a new CD that I am listening to all day today. Love her.

I haven’t written in a while and I definitely should do this more often (slaps hand). Been busy working on Eric and the Adams gigs and heading to Florida next week to play Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale to get back to my acoustic roots. Looking forward to it. The band is doing well and ready for our trip to Austin next month for our Red Gorilla showcase.

Writing some songs too and also thinking about gigging some solo stuff to the east coast in May. If you have any spots you want me to hit, let me know at erichiman@gmail.com. Here is a little video I did lately for my newsletter folks (sign up on the front page towards the bottom) of me performing one of my favorite songs, “Vienna” by Billy Joel. To my friends in the east, hope your doing ok with all the snow and to everyone else, enjoy the sunshine:)
