In Portland On The Way To Denver!

zzzzzzzzz’s…..time to get some sleep..the shows have been great and I am exhausted. Just said goodbye to Cas and dropped her off at the airport and ready to ride solo across the country back to the middle. San Fran and Seattle were actually amazing sing along shows like I haven’t seen before in a long time. Made me psyched and Portland was a quiet listening audience that I turned into a sing-along crowd…all I needed was the songs, “Bartender”, “Love Shack” and “Don’t Stop Believing”. Well, mainly, “Dont Stop Believing”,ha.

I also was lucky to have my friend, Kim, in Portland gift me these awesome shoes. Thanks Kim!!:)

Then it was off to eat some donuts at VooDoo Donuts downtown Portland and this is what I had. A whole fruit loop amount of craziness.

This is what I had for breakfast yesterday at Mae’s in Seattle….need to watch what I eat for the rest of my life now,ha. Great food!!!

Time to dream of more gummy pancakes and fruit loop donuts now. See you in Denver my CO friends and then it is over to Des Moines on Thursday.

Realized it has been a while since I blogged! Need to do this more often. The tour so far has gone great. Glad to have my partner in crime, Cas, back with me for this trip. We have been driving, talking, listening to songs we haven’t listened to in FOREVER, and stopping for slurpees at 7-11 a bit too much,ha.

Packing And Heading Out West!!!:)

Packing up and getting ready to head out on the road now. Always such a rush and a plate of nerves. I was so used to traveling and this year with developing the band regionally, I haven’t toured as much. That just means I am going to enjoy traveling more and take the time to see some sights and have some drinks with friends!!

Toothbrush, check, guitar, check, video camera……check! just bought a new one today so I can’t wait to get everyone on YouTube…going to make it my mission to get some wacky stuff!! and post it here.

Sitting here watching The Wiz! I have never seen this movie before and thought Michael Jackson was great in it!

Heading out on the road this Wed towards the west coast. Always get a bit nervous leaving home to get back in the car and drive around for three weeks. I don’t know why,..like I’m going to forget something like my toothbrush.

I hope the air there is a bit better than here right now. Oklahoma has a ton of ragweed in the air and giving me asthma. I need to get my music in order too so I have stuff to listen to on those big drives. I haven’t been alone in a car for a long drive like that in a while, either. Should be a ton of time to think about releasing my band’s first CD! I am so excited about the new songs I’ve been writing for this CD. The disc is going to be the rockiest thing I’ve ever put out and so glad to do be doing it with my band. Finally, we will have a disc to promote and then, nothing can stop us:). Before I leave, I also have to go over my old songs that I haven’t played in forever. I bet I am going to look like a crazy person listening to my own cd to memorize words I wrote 7 years ago,ha. And on that note, I am heading to bed. My dog is looking at me saying, “Daddy, I need to go to sleep NOW!”.

Going To The West Coast!

I am SOOOO excited to head back to the west coast, I almost want to leave right now. I miss the coast and haven’t been back much to either one of them this year. Been spending a lot of time in Tulsa working on the new music with the band so it will be fun to get back in the car and heading out west:). Even bringing my best friend, Cas with me!

On the band front, we are releasing a new cd late this year!!!:) SO excited for everyone to hear the electric rock stuff I’ve been writing and the band has started to play out. We are putting the finishing touches on it and it is going to reach new ears too, I know it.

Back to work, but wanted to share my excitement:)
