Sleepy Time In St. Louis…

April 30, 2009

here i am in St. Louis in a hotel watching the President speak about Swine Flu. Wondering how far this flu will spread? I just bought a ton of hand sanitizer just in case. Since I am traveling a bunch through out this outbreak, gotta be safe. Tonight was fun in St. Louis. It was low key which made me want to play slow stuff, but it seemed to be well received by the audience. Next up is Louisville tomorrow and it will be a full day of seeing my grandma, dinner with friends, and playing that night at Starbase Q at 11pm. Need some zzzzzzz’s….wash you hands as much as possible, people!~E

Eric And The Adams At Cain’s In Tulsa (w/video!)

April 25, 2009

Last night we played a great show over at one of our favorite places to see bands, Cain’s Ballroom. We had the chance to open for Ingram Hill, a great band from Memphis that I have performed with before in Pittsburgh. We were so excited when we found out because the Cain’s is THE place to play in town for national acts and it took a while to get in there:). Here is a video of us doing our first song, “Something To Dance To”. Should have more video soon. Enjoy!
(Angel on drums, Jimmy on bass, me on guitar)

Mac And Me:)…

April 22, 2009

So, I just bought a Mac computer and I am thrilled and freaked out at the same time. I am excited because it is the chance to work with some new great applications but I am freaked out because it seems overwhelming to move all my files over to the new operating system. I am hoping it is an easy transition. I got the laptop version (though I really wanted the one with the giant screen, the desktop version). I had to be a practical person for it I guess.

On a side note, I did see that there were two young students in separate places that commited suicide recently because they were being harrassed for possibly being gay. This is awful. The Adams and I just performed for all these GSA’s in Dallas with these young kids who were all so happy to know that there were others out there like them, that it makes me really feel for the ones who think that they have no one and that they are an island. I recently started writing a song about it because of my overwhelming emotions. I remember feeling the way they did and sometimes I wish I could tell them in those moments of harrasment that there is so much more out there that they have no idea about. Positive things that would put their life at that moment in perspective. My heart goes out there to them….

What A Weekend Planned..

April 16, 2009

Just about to go to bed and wanted to blog since it has been forever….

I have been running around like a crazy person getting my solo gigs and the band gigs all ready. We took a bunch of new pics that I can’t wait to post of the band. We are really getting our footing as a band and playing the electric guitar and rocking out with them is making music fun again. For a while there if felt a bit stale. You do something day in and day out, no matter how much you love it or are good at it, too much of it can get to you.  So I am happy:)

Tomorrow I fly to Philly to drive to Redding, PA to drive back to Philly to fly to Dallas to play with the band. We drove home to Tulsa and once we get here, I fly to DC for a benefit hosted by The Cherry Fund at the Carnegie Institute. THEN i fly home on Monday. I feel like I am going to need sleep already for this trip.

I need to blog more. I think I have decided I feel better letting that out on here.

Talk soon:)

Not A Peep!

April 7, 2009

Peeps Pictures, Images and Photos

I can’t stop eating Peeps. I don’t know what happened. I went to go get some great food at the grocery store to cook tonight and there they were, all dressed in pink and sitting in a row. I bought two and on the car ride home, I opened the package. I pulled one of their marshmellowy bodies apart and ate the first one. Five minutes later, not one was left. Peeps are so good, especially during the month of Easter.

Been traveling a bit and now back at home and enjoying playing more the band. Bought a whole new pedal board with pedals for my electric guitar and I can’t wait for our next show at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, opening for Ingram Hill! We even have a special medley of popular songs. I will have someone videotape it. Yeah!

Ok, I need to start dinner and try to rid my mind of Peeps, wish me luck!
