Kermie And Me
September 30, 2008

This is my favorite picture in the entire world:) Kermit was a hero of mine growing up. He was a star character that had morals and kept a level head in most situations. He had a lot of heart and was a role model as a little kid. Finally, after a lucky break, I got to meet him. The things you loved as a child have a big impact on your adulthood and Kermit had that impact on me.
Thanks to Andrew for making it happen and my family:) ~E
Got a long two weeks ahead before I got home for a few days and then head to the west coast. Time to get some zzzzzzzz’s
A Bit Tired, I Might Add…….
September 23, 2008
I am sitting here at 1am in my aunt’s kitchen. Been hanging here for a day or so while on tour in the northeast. Spent the day doing a lot of business stuff (even came up with a new family business for our family!). But, I am zapped and need to get some zzzzzzzzzz’s. The shows have been great and I have had so many wonderful people come up and talk to me and share their stories. It’s been great. I’ve even seen many of my friends on this trip too. I think I am pretty blessed to be able to do what I love, see the people I love, meet more people to love, and still have time to sing and dance on stage. At times, the business side of things gets to me a bit, but once it all starts coming together, I realize that the universe is on my side. It wants me to be happy. It wants me to reach the folks I reach and be inspired by them at the same time. I’ve had the luxury of making friends with my peers who are amazing musicians (check out Abby Ahmad and Andrew Ripp for starters-www.myspace.com/abbyahmad and www.myspace.com/andrewripp).
Ok time for night night:)~E
Giving A Guitar Away!!
September 16, 2008
Here is sit in Pittsburgh, my old home and waiting to go get something to eat. In fact, I am going to go do that after I write this real quick. The shows have been great. Columbus was a ball, though it rained in the burgh’, i still had a crowd (and Nicole Steele Djembe-d’ it up the whole set (will post the video up tomorrow!). Tonight, I head over to Columbus and the weather is kinda crappy. Haven’t played with Andrew Ripp yet, so curious to see him and the band play live tonight at Wilbert’s. I open the show at 8pm. got about an hour and half drive up there and back. shouldn’t be too bad with some good music in the car.
Just found out yesterday that I will be giving away a free Fender Acoustics Malibu SCE guitar for the ResoNation tour!! (Check it out below). They are giving me just one to give away to everyone who signs up for the mailing list at the shows this Fall for Gay.com. I sign it and everything so one person will get that and some goodies from me and gay.com too.
Where does the day go? I have been working all morning and not in the best mood to drive for a while but hopefully it will be a great show!! Ok, need food. Be back latas!

Karaoke Surprise!
September 11, 2008
SO….I went around making friends last night on my last day in Louisville. I went to see my friend, Jyn’s band, The Confessional play and I even jumped up to do a littke “Last Dance With Mary Jane” with them. very fun. Then my friend, Daniel and I went to meet up with his friend Yancy at this bar called Q. They had karoake going on so I thought I would do “Rehab” for fun. Well, this morning I got online to find it was recorded AND up on Youtube, so I thought I’d share. I think I was clinging to the mic stand for dear life instead of relaxed with my guitar around me. I think my guitar is becoming my security blanket fast,ha.

Louisville In September!
September 10, 2008
Been spending some time in Louisville at the start of my trip and thought I would show a bit of my times here in this beautiful city. Spent the weekend away for a second performing in Memphis. Didn’t get that on tape sadly, but take my word for it, it was a fun time!!
Sitting here at the computer doing all the adminstrative aspects of the biz (somedays I wish my life was the vision most folks see-me just having to worry about what to play and wear onstage). Ok, back to work I go. Can’t wait to send out the new newsletter!!

September 5, 2008
Hey there!
Can you do me a favor and read this great article about me by journalist, James Hillis? He did such a great job and took his time making sure the story was right:). He deserves success and honored that he chose me to pitch to the Advocate.
Thanks and see you on the road!!

My Tulsa Life…
September 1, 2008
The show at Capella’s was great!! I think the Adams and I are getting to be a tighter band and having more fun in the process. You can see it at the end of this video (thanks for filming, Courtney!). It has been nice to work from home and see my family everyday but it is now time to get back to my road routine and thought I would pay tribute to the folks I treasure here in Tulsa: my great trainer, Brent, my friend/hairstylist, Chris, my puppies (of course, Ry,too), and my band, Angel and Jimmy.
I have most of the dates done in Sept! October is soon to be a full month. I am looking forward to the shows and showing off some of the new songs I’ve been working on along with the past ones and some fun covers. The posters are out and the press is alerted. The rest is sure to be fun, don’t forget to bring your friends along for the party!!:)
Some random thoughts of mine I’d like to list:
1) I am going to miss Bravo, I’ve gotten a bit addicted to the shows (even though I sit and watch many of the same episodes of shows on repeat like it was my first time)
2) How come I never see commercials for Jenny Ford Auto? A car sales company that is owned by a woman? They are all Jim Ford, Chuck Ford, or something like that.
3) Thumbcrown Records just won Sept. Business of the Month at Gay Friendly America (www.gayfriendlyamerica.com)!! Very freakin’ cool to be recognized as a successful business:)
4) Thanks to Brian H. for sending me “1000 Names of Joy”! Can’t wait to start reading it!
5) Have a great Labor Day, the first Monday in September, observed as a holiday in the United States and Canada in honor of working people.
Peace out!~E
